This unit focuses on the concept of change. Students to investigate how Melbourne and Victoria have changed from pre-European settlement to today. The Hosting of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games represents fifty years since Melbourne hosted the Olympic Games in 1956. Many of the activities in this unit will focus on the changes in Melbourne over the last fifty years. Students will explore change from the social, environmental and technological perspectives.
