Changing Melbourne
Students investigate the concept of change as it applies to Melbourne and/or Victoria from prior to European settlement to today.
Images of change
Melbourne has changed significantly over the last 250 years and artists often record these changes in their work. In this activity, students will examine a number of artworks and photographic images that reflect a particular time in Melbourne's history. Students will compare these artworks and photographic images and reflect on how Melbourne has changed over time.
Changing Melbourne and Victoria
In this activity students will explore in depth significant periods in Melbourne's and/or Victoria's history.
Promoting Melbourne and Victoria for visitors to the Games
Melbourne and Victoria will host some 90 000 visitors during the 2006 Commonwealth Games. This activity asks students to promote the best features of Melbourne and Victoria with a focus on how we have changed.
