The challenge of environmental sustainability is a major focus of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. The Games will be a carbon-neutral, low-waste and waterwise event demonstrating a commitment to a clean and green philosophy and environmental sustainability. This unit uses the Games' philosophy to highlight environmental issues and promote active involvement in environmentally sustainable initiatives.
