This unit encourages students to explore and deepen their sense of identity and examine this concept from an aboriginal perspective, highlighting the importance of ceremony in both cultures. The core values of the Commonwealth Games are identified, making connections to students' world. Students research a Commonwealth country. Australia's reputation as a sporting nation is also examined, encouraging students to participate.
