Students will share their understandings of Melbourne/Victoria/Australia’s identity as they build a relationship with people from another Commonwealth nation.
Research a Commonwealth nation
Students brainstorm questions and research a Commonwealth nation.
Queen's Baton Relay
Students will track the Queen’s Baton Relay and ‘visit’ countries within the Commonwealth.
Design a flag, banner or bunting
Flags are used at ceremonies and community events for decoration and symbolism including symbolising national identity. In this activity, students will create a flag/banner/bunting that reflects their understandings about their Adopt a Second Team nation.
